Pros: Looks nice, decent build quality.
Cons: This case is plugged by the newegg video review as "great for watercooling", and "can fit a 360 radiator or 280 radiator up top" which is simply lies. Sure you can bolt the radiator up there, but you can forget the fans below it. The fans will hit the heatsinks and RAM release tabs on your board. It all comes down to the worthless last slot that they added for poor people running 3 cards in crossfire. If they had left that out, and moved the motherboard down that much there would be no issues. Obviously they never actually tried to watercool one of these cases, or they would have realized that it doesn't work. I hope this saves someone out there the hassle of figuring this out.
Other Thoughts: Maybe next time you have someone review a product for you newegg, maybe make sure they know what the heck they are doing first.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Simply, this is the best board on the market right now. The price is right also. The overclocking features are great. The bios is very user friendly and easy to navigate. It offers load line calibration on virtually every component on the board. On board power, reset and bios reset buttons make bench testing and overclocking even easier. No boot loops or any other nonsense, it just works or tells you to try again ; ). I recommend this board to anyone who is considering IVB and or Z77.
Cons: Not really a con, but I figured I would let people in on something I found out the hard way. For higher overclocks (think 4.8-5.0+) you will need to turn all of the load line calibration setting up to max or close to it, or when it is under load it will fail to run programs. This can also cause it to cause a "failed boot" and return to bios. If you have this problem, this is likely the issue. Hope this helps someone out.
Other Thoughts: This is the kind of board that will put Gigabyte back at the top of overclockers short list. If they continue producing boards of this caliber, then I think that there will be many people who swear by ASUS that come joining the Gigabyte club.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Overclocks very well. Has an insane memory controller. Is a bit faster than Sandy Bridge clock for clock. It plays well with all memory unlike SB.
Cons: Runs very hot. A custom water loop is almost mandatory if you want to make it very high with your overclock. Above 1.34v temps skyrocket even with the best cooling solutions. It was priced about $20 higher than was expected.
Other Thoughts: Overall is is a great processor if you have a means to deal with the heat. But even at stock clocks it performs very well. If you already own a good SB chip, then I would suggest that you not upgrade unless you plan on doing some subzero benchmarking or want the latest and greatest.READ FULL REVIEW
