This review is from: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-MTE250BW 250GB mSATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Purchase this to replace slowly dying plexor SSD of the same size in my laptop. Plexor wont let me get the replacement drive first so I could clone.
Dell laptop has a slot for an msata and this was on sale, so I thought it would be good to try out and I can use the larger slot for the replacement plexor.
Has work well so far, do a lot of cad Revit work and InDesign. Quick little guy. Can keep up with read/writes very well.
Cons: Non so far, probably uses less power, but with all the ram sucking power, I have it really doubt it makes a big difference than using a larger SSD.
A little concerned about heat though, laptop has min fans and no liquid cooling like my workstation.
Other Thoughts: Cloned with NTI Echo which has worked well every time. Be sure to have a dedicated computer with extra SATA ports available to use NTI. Licensing will not allow you to move soft ware from pc to pc which is annoying.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: NTi Echo 3 - Perfect solution for all your cloning needs
Pros: Have this program on a single machine that we use for cloning hard drives from other machines.
Need to be very clear the computer given name of the hard drive you want to preserve, and the ones you are cloning.
Have used many times and like how it jumps out of windows into Unix and makes bare metal to bare metal copies.
Cons: License is only good on one machine. You cant move license from machine to machine to clone hard drives. Thus you will need to have sitting on a dependable computer with open HD headers.
This is a bit annoying and is not indicated in the documentation.
Other Thoughts: Originally received tis program as part of a SSD upgrade to Plextor Pro. Of course the "free" version was only good for one or two clones. It worked better than the one from Samsung, so I got a copy. Have been using for 1-2 years perhaps longer. It has been making backups metal to metal copies of HD's flawlessly.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great upgrade for my HTPC. On board 24-bit/192kHz DAC. Using the RCA out with Kimber Silver AG interconnects and the sound-stage now for CD, streaming music on line, and streaming TV/Movies, DVD, BRay movies are so dynamic!!
Can hear things that I could not hear before in the audio tracks.
cant wait to try the 192k/24-bit S/PDIF high grade special Optical output with glass fiber interconnect.
Better than Asus Xonar ST hi quality card from before.
Cons: HT | Omega needs to develop a card that used HDMI audio!READ FULL REVIEW
