This review is from: Corsair Vengeance 1400 Dual 3.5mm Connector Circumaural Gaming Headset
Pros: The comfort of the headset is phenomenal. Although it does have some weight, the ear pieces themselves do not cause my ears to feel hot or sweaty and cause no issues even with extended use sessions. The headset itself feels very sturdy, and fits my rather large head. The mic boom is never in the way and can be easily tucked away if not in use. Although it is not bendable, I feel as though the solid construction of the mic is better. The sound quality is very nice, and fits well with any type of music or gaming I have going on. I have no troubles being heard through VOIP programs and have been told I sound even better and more clear when communicating.
The braided cord is nice, and despite it's rather long length never gets in the way or twisted in my chair's wheels.
Cons: The small unit on the braided line that controls volume and mutes the mic is sensitive. I find that if it is touching or pressed against anything it will make buzzing noises.
Even when muted, people can still hear things going on on my end. They can not hear my voice, but if I have loud music or games playing through the headset they can hear it clearly despite being muted.
Other Thoughts: Overall, this is probably the best headset I have owned.
I have never spent much money on any headset, but compared to the few "gaming" headsets I did purchase, being turtle beaches, the Corsair Vengeance 1400 blows them out of the water. At the price, I could not see myself finding a better gaming headset.
Pros: Corsair does a wonderful job in the overall construction of the keyboard. It is very solid feeling and the metal body is great, while it maintains a very low weight. The keys are very smooth in action, and everything is properly spaced with a great feel during typing and gaming. The simple media controls (pause, play etc.) are tucked away in the corner so they are not bothersome. I really like the scroll feature for the volume.
I am not bothered about it not being a "fully" mechanical key board, but the keys that truly matter are mechanical so this is not a problem. I have gone through a few keyboards, this one being my first actual mechanical keyboard and I am very impressed. It is very simple, but has it's own bold statement in a way. If you are looking for something not very flashy, but with functionality, this is a good keyboard for the price.
Cons: The only con I can list would be the quality of the palm rest pad. It feels cheap, and although it does the job i feel like it could have been built a little better.
Other Thoughts: The price does some what reflect on the features. It lacks any back light features as well as any special macro keys. This, however, is not truly a con. Corsair did a great job by releasing new models with the features, of course for a higher price.
For the few extra bucks, I would recommend in getting the backlit version, Corsair's K70. It is the same construction with true fully mechanical keys, a better full-board wrist rest, and comes in different finish colours. It has slightly more functionality.
The K60 is still a great keyboard and is very cost effective if you are not looking for a back light feature.
This review is from: Func MS 3 Black 5040 dpi Gaming Mouse
Pros: The mouse is very comfortable and fits my rather large hand quite well. The buttons are all smooth working and easily accessible. The mouse is quick and glides along with ease. The driver provided by Func makes the functionality even better.
Cons: Despite the ergonomic grip, I would receive hand cramps after extended use from the palm-grip style.
The mouse wheel also began to go on the fritz, and would randomly scroll in opposite directions that I wanted, or would just randomly scroll on its own. It continued to do so even after cleaning out the wheel (which had no debris to begin with)
The rubber coating is okay, but the mouse has a cheap feel. It is almost too light of a mouse.
Other Thoughts: This mouse came highly recommended and at first I was quite impressed, but after putting many hours on it I became less and less enthralled with the Func MS-3 Mouse. I wish I could have rated it higher, but the scroll wheel issue from out of the box absolutely killed the experience.READ FULL REVIEW
