GIGABYTE GV-N750OC-2GI G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 750 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: less than 1 day

Pros: I am getting video. Card seated nicely in slot, easy to install, no problem connecting up power.

Cons: Brand new card, just installed. Fan wiring on installed fan runs upward from fan hub, extends up and out about half an inch above the upper side of the card, and curves to the left and back down to the fan connector on the circuit board. This configuration results in the fan wiring being able to bulge away from the heatsink and into the fan blades, preventing the fan from turning.

So on first startup I had video but the fan wasn't turning.

I have looked at pictures of this card on New egg, the Gigabyte web site, and several online reviews. All photos show the fan wiring running under the fan housing to the fan connector, NOT running up above the card into the open air and then back down to the connector. Nor do any of the photos show the fan wiring in a configuration where it would block the blades from turning.

Anyone else had this problem? I'm sure this could be resolved by rerouting the fan wiring, but as I don't want to risk voiding the warranty on my brand new card, I guess I'll be contacting Gigabyte technical support...

Other Thoughts: This is a new one on me. Been building computers for years and never had this problem before!

Cooler Master HAF Stacker 915F Mini-ITX Computer Case - Supports Large CPU Air Coolers (Front PSU Mount)
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Stackable is great for those of us with a space crunch. Solid case, easy to work with. Good ventilation. Easily portable, lots of room for water cooling or drives.

Cons: I realize this case was designed for mini ITX. But it's very frustrating to have such a great stackable case and be restricted to the limitations of mini ITX. Cooler Master design team, if you used a less boxy design you could flare out the base of each side about half an inch adjacent to the motherboard mounts and turn this into a mini ITX / micro ATX case, and greatly expand the market for it. It's so close....
