Pros: As title says, these days that is a biggie and pretty unusual. When you are 70 yrs old, as I am, my definition of speed probably isn't the same as with most of you. But - this thing has really speeded up my PC. I don't dwell on how long it takes to my machine to do this or that. It has helped performance. I could not be happier with my purchase. Installed easily except for that mounting bracket which I couldn't use. I had a spare one from Corsair that worked though. Software that came with it do also, although I am not completely sure what it does. I'll have to get back to you on that.
Cons: Not even one.
Other Thoughts: I had read that these things didn't have much space. By the time I installed Win 7, Office, a couple of other small programs, I was down to like 71gb unused. But with a HDD storage drive, that really isn't an issue. As stated above, in the past I have bought stuff that wasn't very good and I wasn't happy with. This is not one.
My PC: Phenom II 965BE cpu, Corsair 650w PSU, Asus 6850 video card, Asus M4A87TD EVO mb, 500gb WD hard drive, Corsair 600T case, Windows 7 64bit, etc.
Pros: "Faster", when you are 70 yrs old, probably ain't such a big deal, but I am pretty sure stuff runs faster now. PC boots quicker, browsers load more rapidly. My sons and grandsons used to pester me about my PC being slow, hope they are happy. And, bless their hearts, they paid for the Accelerator. Installed easily, software was quick and painless, even for one old and not very smart. This SSD seems to do what it is supposed to do. In this age and time, that's rather remarkable.
Cons: None whatsoever.
Other Thoughts: When this came in the mail, I couldn't believe there was actually something in the package. There is no "heft" to it. Are all SSD's this light and skinny? Learn something new every day I guess. It had caught my eye in a magazine advert in the doctor's office, and what it said about not having to reinstall Windows and not requiring moving programs around had me hooked. I am not disappointed. Oh yeah, and a plug for Newegg's operation. They get stuff down here to south Texas really quickly, and at a fair price. Always have.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: This board works. Nothing on it does not. I am far from being classed an "enthusiast", and so what I look for in a build is parts that work without having to fool around with settings and stuff, termed here "out of the box". This motherboard is exactly that. I installed it, as well as other components, and it has run fine ever since. Documentation is adequate. Bios is simple to work with if needed.
Cons: None at all.
Other Thoughts: As far as the I/O Shield, just pre bending those little tabs out a bit is all it takes. It is not a high tech piece, so don't consider it as one. Board is short, so just be a tad careful when plugging in connectors.
My other hardware: Phenom II x4 965BE, ASUS EAH6850 vid card, 8g Corsair memory, Corsair 600T case, a couple of WD hard drives, Corsair 650w PSU, etc. Windows 7 64bit.
