This review is from: LIAN LI PC-888 Blue Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Pros: Shape and color give this case a unique look unlike most others. I believe they were trying to make it look something like a sail boat. There are no sharp edges on this case at all, they've all been rounded over. Tons of cables, thumb screws and wires included! ....However...
Cons: ...this case is downright goofy inside. This is an ATX case, yet the power supply mounts above the MB. The hard drive cages mount above the MB too, the problem with this is I always use the Thermaltake V1, which is impossible to fit due to them hanging so low. The cages themselves are not functional. They are set up so you slide the drive on a rail into what resembles a "hot swap" set up on the back of the cage, this how ever doesn't work if your going to use SSD because the connectors wont match up and larger HD's like the WD 1TB drive wont fit at all. Lastly the cables have to be routed to the bottom of the case using a detachable "conduit" of sorts. There is no way a stranded power supply would be able to reach. Also, even though I didn't get much further then mounting it, I'm sure my Mother board didn't fit quite right.
Other Thoughts: I got this case because I wanted some thing different. Well thats what I got...
I spent a week trying to turn this into a computer and after sitting on $1400 worth of computer parts I decided to return it and shop for a more traditional case. This case reminded me of those proprietary cases I used to deal with all the time from HP and Compaq back in the day...and not in a good way...if there is one. I'm sad I have to return such a case, it looks like a lot of work went into it but perhaps not a lot of thought. Form over function never works and it didn't work for me this time for sure.
Pros: This is in relation to a different version of this card.
I purchased the
PNY VCG88GTSXPB GeForce 8800GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
worked great for just over 2 years.
Cons: ...shortly there after I had a random reboot problem that I tracked back to the video card. This took me 2 months to figure out... due to the fact that the card has error codes that you have to catch on the card and then look up online. I was dismayed by this but hoped I was inside what I thought was a 3 year warranty.
Other Thoughts: I called PNY to ask for a replacement because I assumed I had a 3 year warranty but was told that because I failed to register online I only had the one year warranty. I was also told that the series had been discontinued and so I could not be given an equivalent cart. I don't believe that since it would seem that newegg still stocks the same line. I wasn't expecting the same card per say but the "gentlemen" on the phone was completely uninterested in helping me and gave the impression that he hoped I was just hang up and go away. I paid $350 dollars for that card and they were willing to strand me with none at all do to a clerical err on my part, though I think they would have used the same reason to deny me anyway. PNY has lost a customer for life and I make sure to tell others of my experience with them. I ended up with a 350 dollar paperweight.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: LG Shine KE-970 Silver Unlocked CellPhone
Pros: Much cheaper then the locked Version I'm replacing, feature full and totally unlocked
Cons: The selector bar that you use to "roll" though menu's is REALLY touchy and takes some getting used to, also the manual was not in English.
Other Thoughts: I really like the idea of "unlocked" phones, and this probly isn't my last one, but setting up my media settings has been a task lol, but I'm sure I'll get it all figuared out!READ FULL REVIEW
