This review is from: Klipsch Synergy C-20 Premium Dual 5.25" Center-channel Speaker Single
Pros: Crisp and clear dialogues. Able to handle oomph and bass which is essential for an awesome home theater. Conversations and sound effects are more distinct and discernible on higher volumes with no distortions from my own personal experience.
Even experimented setting the center channel size on small, amp crossed over to 80 and seemingly, for my taste and preference, it's better for it to be otherwise left on large because of its sonic capabilities.
Cons: Not a perfect timbre match with the Synergy F-30. I was wishing that Klipsch came out with a C-30 or a C-40 even, lol. Its not a fault to the C-20's though as capable and fantastic as they are. The F-30's are just so efficient and loud, especially the highs and it will drown the center channel if not adjusted properly. I have to tone down the front levels a couple of notches which solved the problem down right sweet. Mind you the F-30's are about 15 feet apart, aimed and triangulated to my favorite sweet spot, along with the C-20, also angled along with the pair of S-10's, and its affordable bliss.
Other Thoughts: Who am I to question Klipsch for not making a center channel a step above this one? It is known that the most important speaker of a home theater is the center so in case you have a couple of F-30's of the Synergy line, you might want to consider an RC-62II to go along with it. In my case though, a couple of notches down the amp settings for the left and right mains, saved me quite a few bucks in my pocket to keep and still love this C-20!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Klipsch Synergy F-30 Premium Dual 8" Floor-standing Speaker Single
Pros: Previously had the F-10's a little more than a month prior to these F-30's and I was amazed by them. I said to myself, if they sound this good, how would their big brothers would be like? It took me to the end of the extended return period as I got the F-10's prior to Christmas & got them for 199/pair & was really hesistant to request an RMA. I ended up doing it anyways & Newegg was just top notch in helping me out get what I really want & finally pulled the trigger on the Synergy's flagship & I'm really glad I did. The sound was a lot fuller balancing the terrific highs that the Tractrix horns produces. Bass was more pronounced due to the dual 8" woofers & having bi-amped my 7.1 receiver (didn't use the high/back surrounds/bi-amp mode), the efficiency & sensitivity along with the higher power handling capacity of this beauties really shined even more. Also having a Bic-F-12 subwoofer just completes the whole sound spectrum. It was was very obvious right away that I made the right decision!
My advice, if your budget permits, spend the extra dough on the 30's and you'll be glad you did. I just don't want to get the idea now that if they sound this good, would there be another justification to move up to the Reference Line? Probably? But not anytime soon, These F-30's, along with a C-20 & a pair of S-10's makes my modest, humble man cave not so modest and humble. They just plain rocks!...& so does Newegg.
Cons: Huge and deep, lol, These things are sky scrapers! Good heft & weight too but the return is definitely worth it.
Other Thoughts: Got the pair for 389.00 which is not the lowest Newegg ever had it on sale. If you can find it at anything lower than 149.00 a piece, it would surely be the best 300.00 you'll ever spend. Just click on the price alert icon underneath & again, you'll be glad you did.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Klipsch Synergy F-10 Premium 6.5" Floor-standing Speaker Single
Pros: Crisp, clear highs with a surprising amount of bass coming from a single, 6 1/2 inch woofer. Tractrix horns are amazing. You really gotta have to listen to this entry level Klipsch Synergy series before you can appreciate them. Give it time to break in and hopefully it does if your planning on returning them. Just turn your surround receiver on radio while at work for a whole week on comfortable listening levels. As long as as it doesn't offend your neighbors or your Amp is not over heating to a point. Give it a good pre-work out so the speakers can stretch and loosen up. Really, really happy for such a deal on a 5.0 surround package from Newegg.
Cons: A tad bit too shrill and bright in the beginning. I don't care what the experts say but breaking in the drivers does make a big difference. Pair it with a dedicated sub-woofer(paired it w a Bic F-12) for a complete, satisfying experience especially for movies.
Other Thoughts: These Klipsch F-10 are pretty amazing especially for the price point. I can only imagine how the Reference Series compares to them as I have read and got the impression from countless forums that they are leaps better than the Synergy's. Fact of the matter is, I liked this ones better than the Icon Series which is an exclusive from the Best Buy. For what I paid for it with free shipping, Newegg just rocks!READ FULL REVIEW
