Pros: It works if....see other
Cons: Loses connection constantly.
Other Thoughts: My setup hasn't changed at all. There is a sleep mode or whatever that you can configure within the devices. This is turned off. It's supposed to not wait for a queue up from the network cable in order to establish a connection with the other side (PoE adapter).
The only way to fix the constant or random connection losses is to run a constant ping from my computer to my router. That doesn't eat up bandwidth or anything, but it is VERY annoying. I strongly suggest not getting this particular model/company's PoE devices.
Secondly this doesn't transfer anywhere near 500Mbs. And, yes I know how to hook it up and make it connect at that speed. The best transfer I've seen is around 80Mbits.
Pros: Inexpensive. See other
Other Thoughts: AS-SSD results were:
4k Read/Write: ~5000 IOPS
4k-64QD (Queue Depth): Between 40 and 60k IOPS
SEQ: ~300 - 400MB
I was slightly disappointed with the 4k single read/writes, but how often does Microsoft OS and applications ever have just a single request from a drive?
I am happy with what I got and because of the price (about 25 cents a GB) I suggest this to others.
Pros: This card compares with the Nvidia GTX 660 and is on par with results from various testing applications.
Cons: Power consumption is high compared to other cards that are similar in performance, but that does not hurt this review at all.
Other Thoughts: This card is spectacular! I ended up paying (after rebate) 125$. For the price and performance I am getting, it's a GREAT buy. I did not have any issues with the rebate. Please read and make sure you select the proper video card if you are sending in for the rebate. Look for the model number, not just R9 270. There are a couple R9 270s on the rebate form, so be careful. I highly suggest this card, especially if you can get a great deal on it like I did.READ FULL REVIEW
