This review is from: Rosewill Black 1A USB Micro Car Charger RCP-SC41
Pros: Low Profile
LED power indicator
Cons: Very hot
Melting Plastic Smell
Other Thoughts: I purchased this unit to power my Motorola Bionic on long business trips in the car. As soon as I received, I plugged it in to ensure it worked, and my Bionic started charging. Two days later, I started a trip. After about an hour, I began smelling melting plastic in the car (not good). Pulling the new adapter out of the socket, I realized it was very hot. However, there were no (and aren't) visible blemishes to the unit. I was also shocked to find that my phone had not charged during the hour's passing.
Finding it odd, I plugged the unit back into the socket (it was a rental car...worst case, it burns to the ground and I get a new rental). Watching the phone, I noticed that it would charge for awhile, then would show as being unplugged.
I'll be the first to admit, power is not my strong suit. Perhaps the Bionic doesn't like the 1A coming from this unit (it's wall charger is only 850mA). But I would think it would step the power down. Perhaps not.
I've since stopped using this thing as the smell was disconcerting to say the least.

Pros: The unit performs beautifully. It's silence (my goal), it looks cool (no pun intended) and it's a decent price.
Cons: I consider myself a relatively calm person. But honestly, you're going to want to put the kids to bed before you start to install this thing. I trouble with screw length, screw-driver length, screw-driver thickness and steady hands. Additionally, the sticky pad they give to hold things together just wasn't working. The installation is the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5. It brought me to explatives. But in the end, it was worth it.
Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a long thin screwdriver you can use to work for you. I installed a different manufacturers heatpipe, and they sent one with the unit which I ended up using for this installation. Additionally, as everyone said before me, measure twice. It's a big unit, and it needs it's space. I installed mine with a single 120mm fan right next to the out vent fan in the back of the case. temp went from 50 to 39.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Highly customizable, very high powered radio, plenty of RAM, removable antenna
Cons: Lousy docs and stock firmware...doesn't do 'N', but I guess that's a different product.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this unit with the intension of immediately flashing it with DD-WRT. It works swimmingly. I am extreamly happy with the power of the radio. In fact, I lowered the power on the radio. Despite the fact that the unit is at one end of my house, I am getting great signal strength at the other end of my 1600 Sq Ft house. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone interested in loading their own firmware.READ FULL REVIEW
