Corsair Obsidian Series 550D Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Solid, well designed case, very quiet, loads of room for fans/coolers, and even a little stylish in a subtle way. The USB and power button up on top is a nice touch. Front cover can be removed completely without looking too silly

Cons: Heavy, a little pricey,

Other Thoughts: A solid case, I relocated my wife's PC from a HTPC case to this case, and was able to make a very nice looking build, very quiet, easy to access, loads of extra vents for more fans should the need ever arise. Loads of room.

Why aren't there more options for stacked hard drives for power cables ? All the options have too much space between the connectors making powering a bit RAID array a PITA. The case manufacturer would be wise to include cabling for the arrangement of drives.

  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Runs nice and quiet on low speed, pulls decent volume of air at higher speeds.

Cons: None if you like orange

Other Thoughts: It added a stylish splash of color to the otherwise black case and blue motherboard.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink

5 out of 5 eggs Running cool in a HTPC case with i5-2500k 07/27/2012

This review is from: ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink

Pros: Slightly lower profile than many CPU coolers, it fit in the space I had with a HTPC case, even overclocked, the i5-2500k stayed cool for short Prime95 test runs (30-60 minutes). No LED's is nice when you just want a PC. It's also virtually silent unless it's being ramped up to deal with heavy loads.

Cons: A little pricey. Copper fins are somewhat sharp and fragile, but nothing a little care can't handle.
