Pros: Excellent cable that allows you to convert a standard molex connector to a female SATA connector.
Cons: Cable is not sleeved, but is also kept out of sight in my build so not that big a deal.
Other Thoughts: Helps to eliminate multiple cables coming from the power supply. Good build quality. Does what it's supposed to do.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Transcend 2.5" 512GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) TS512GSSD370
Pros: Excellent value! Comes with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter to mount this drive in a standard HDD 3.5" bay. Software is available at the Transcend website called SSD Scope. Allows you to flawlessly clone your current drive to the new one and automatically extends the partition to take up the rest of the drive. Just make sure your actual data on your old drive fits on the new one. Cloned my 600GB HDD to this 512GB SSD. No issues, was back up and running my computer after 45mins of cloning around 243GBs of data. Fast! My SATA3 controller burned out on my MB but my SATA2 controller can barely keep up with this drive. This thing is fully saturating the SATA2 bus at 270 MBps!!! Would be capable of ~550 MBps on a SATA3 controller.
Cons: There are faster drives out there but this thing is definitely fast enough for even the enthusiast user. Using this in my desktop, but for you laptop guys, this drive does not support DevSleep low power mode so if you put this in a laptop you will see slightly shorter battery life than an SSD that does enable that energy saving feature.
Other Thoughts: This replaced an aging WD Raptor 600GB drive and man did it deliver! ~80 MBps sustained on that old drive while hitting ~268 MBps sustained transfer with it handicapped by a SATA2 controller... wow. This drive is definitely a no brainer best bang for your buck SSD.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: bgears b-Blaster 80 80mm Case Fan
Pros: Excellent 80mm fans that move tons of air!!! Excellent static pressure and airflow. Installed them into an Infocus IN78 DLP 720p projector and they keep the thing cool and running. Before, the stock old fans would keep the projector running for 20mins and it would overheat. I've run the projector with these fans for hours now trying to catch up on Game of Thrones with no issues. Fans are definitely not quiet, but not that loud either, like other users have reported.
Cons: Fan construction is of lower quality materials and finish, but not made of bamboo like some other users have reported. I've had no problems with fins breaking off or pulling out cables, but I only hit the gym twice a week, so that may be the root cause.
Other Thoughts: These fans have no speed control built in. No PWM or voltage control at all. They have two speeds: Off and Full-Blast-Super-Cold! Which for me is fine because I needed them to run at full blast. If you need fans that are speed variable please look for PWM or voltage controlled fans.READ FULL REVIEW
