5 out of 5 eggs Awesome Board overall 10/09/2011

This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-P45T-ES3G LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Extend the life of my E6600 C2D a bit farther with 16gb of DDR3 and a GTX560. Board is a pretty nice OC too, running my 2.4 C2D @ 3.2 w/ 1600mhz fsb to get the memory to full 1600mhz speed

Cons: None that cost an egg or I didn't realize when I bought it, but I wish it had a few more PCIx 1x or 4x's on it, optical audio out would be nice, and a couple more USB's on the backplane wouldn't hurt, but this board offers a nice upgrade path for those of us still nursing LGA775-personally I'm trying to hold out for Ivy Bridge

Other Thoughts: Pretty basic board, but works exactly as advertised, love gigabyte products.
System:
Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.2/1600mhz fsb
Gigabyte GA-P45T-ES3G mobo
16gb Gskill sniper DDR3-1600@ 8-8-8-24
Gigabyte GTX 560 video

Crucial Ballistix 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model BL12864AA804
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Very quick memory, great for OCing

Cons: Runs at very high voltage, on my Asus P5B had a horrible time getting it to even boot stable at first to go in and change the voltage. Now it won't boot at all

Other Thoughts: SYSTEM: Core2Duo 6600 on a Asus P5B deluxe
