This review is from: LOGISYS Computer CS6801BK Aluminum Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case 350W Power Supply
Good feel to the power button
Face plate comes off easily
Convenient cable management
Cons: Flimsy and badly designed in every other way possible.
Power supply mounts are thin, bendy tabs.
Fits a mATX PSU, but once it's installed, the filter above it can't be easily reinserted. It's nearly impossible to get it back off again with the PSU installed. Have super glue handy, because it will break.
I/O shield opening is flexy and useless. Any amount of pressure from the back pops the shield in, even with a MoBo installed.
Supports mATX motherboards, but won't also fit a regular-size fan in the bottom slot. Y'know, the intake point.
-The card reader cable is attached to the front panel using screws with wide, flat heads. On my case, they were actually making contact with the electronic components of the circuit board. While troubleshooting it I started unscrewing the card reader itself, and it began SMOKING until I removed the power cable.
So much nope.
Other Thoughts: I replaced the screws on the card reader, but now my motherboard randomly loses its SATA ports while it's installed in the case. I have to make it work, as there's not time to deal with an RMA process, but Cheese & Rice, what a nightmare.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Very inexpensive
Looks sharp and unique
Mostly non-sharp edges on the interior
Cons: Zero cable management
Undersized fans w/ no motherboard connectors
Tabs on side doors bend easily
Some sharp edges
Front panel difficult to release
Optical drive must be pushed in to close it (button is covered up when flap opens)
Other Thoughts: It's a cheap, fun-looking case with all the room I needed. No eggs were removed for corners cut on the design, as I know that's what keeps costs down (although I wish HEC had used 120mm case fans. It wouldn't have been THAT much more expensive to fill the mesh.)
1 egg deducted for the design of the optical drive door. I really, really don't like having to push on the open drive in order for it to retract.
Pros: Beautiful design
Ease of setup
Lots of I/O options
6 months of flawless operation
Cons: None observed
Other Thoughts: So glad I didn't skimp when picking an HTPC. This little thing is the best. I haven't tested out its gaming capabilities, but it was only purchased for HD video streaming and Blu-Ray playback.
Can't wait to upgrade it with a nice-sized SSD.
