This review is from: Dewalt D55153R 1.1 HP 4 Gallon Oil-Lube Hand Carry Air Compressor
Pros: Great price, i caught this on a "Two Day Sale"Unit arrived on time, pretty quick too, and shipping was free.I am familiar with this style of compressor. I broke it in using the recommended method as per the manual. I hooked up a variety of nail guns and ran a good nailing test on a variety of wood boards. The unit worked 100%.
What's in the box ; Compressor, and the manual.
If you are familiar with this style of compressor, I just want to add that this unit runs cool, and reasonably quiet. (comparing to other brands)
Cons: 1) - No reservoir oil was included. You will have to purchase some compressor oil.
2) - No wrench included to loosen/tighten the oil reservoir drain plug bolt.
Other Thoughts: There were some minor cosmetic dings in the paint. This is a refurb product, so you have to expect some minor cosmetic flaws. The compressor cycles well, is reasonably quiet, and does the job running nail guns. It's a great deal for a "around the house" air compressor. This style of compressor will last you a long time. My previous unit lasted 22 years.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BELKIN BP112230-08 8 Feet 12 Outlets 4320 Joules Pivot-Plug Surge Protector
Pros: 1) - Fast, free, shipping from Newegg. Item arrived in a well packaged container.
2) - Everything works.
3) - 8' cord length. That's 2' longer than similar design brands.
Other Thoughts: You save quite a bit of money purchasing this unit on-line from Newegg.com. This unit is 10-20 bucks higher in brick and mortar stores. The 8' chord length seals the deal. I have purchased the competing brand unit from NE as well, yet the 6' chord length was limiting my options.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cuisinart CSK-250 Stainless Steel GreenGourmet Electric 14-inch Skillet
Pros: This is a great electric skillet in its own right. It has a deep bowl to accommodate a large pot roast. It's a HEAVY unit, so it holds the heat well. This skillet actually gets hot enough to be considered a "skillet. A lot of the competition skillets do not. It's constructed the old-fashion way; large and heavy. I consider this a "Pro", although some folks may want to purchase a lighter weight and smaller size unit due to counter-top or cabinet storage.
As for being a "refurbished unit", everything is working 100%. The unit does come with a 90 day warranty (manufacturer).
Cons: A few minor scratches on the non-stick surface, yet only where the top resides, not in the cooking area. This is my second unit, I had to RMA the first unit.
Other Thoughts: For the price, this really is an awesome purchase. It's large enough to handle meat and vegetables in the cooking area. I don't think I would have purchased the unit as a "NEW" item, due to its higher price. It's a good deal for the buck.
Just remember to use NON-METALLIC utensils with this unit. The non-stick surface coating "appears" thin. I have had thick coated non-stick surfaced pots flake real fast, so I'm not sure if a "thin" coated surface is any worse/better than a thick coated one.
