XFX R7-240A-CLH4 Radeon R7 240 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support Low Profile Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: No fan and using in htpc doesn't seem to tax it enough to be an issue.

Cons: It can be a little poky trying to drive a 4K screen (4096x2160 or 3840x2160), but this isn't surprising.

Other Thoughts: Works fine in a ASRock A770DE+ system (PCI Express 2.0 16x slot) running Linux (3.14) and the open source ATI (radeon) drivers with vdpau/vaapi.

3 out of 5 eggs terrible write performance beyond cache 06/05/2010

This review is from: TOSHIBA 640GB USB 2.0 2.5" Portable External Hard Drive HDDR640E04XK Black

Pros: great price, nice physical size, huge amount of storage, USB powered

Cons: if you transfer really large files (4+ GiB) to the device where the cache can no longer buffer the writes, the performance takes a _huge_ nose dive. so if you want this as a backup for small/medium sized files, it's fine. but if you want to start storing large disk images/videos/etc..., look somewhere else.

Other Thoughts: gave it to my gf as a backup device to replace her older smaller external usb drive and is fine for that (syncing existing files and really doesnt store multi-gigabyte things)

MSI NX6600GT-TD128E GeForce 6600GT 128MB 128-Bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: plays quake4/doom3/bf2/hl2/etc... and game play is smooooooth as a baby's bum bum

Cons: cost is more than free, i hate that ... however, i did save a bunch of money !

Other Thoughts: works great with A8N-SLI suite of motherboards, YEAH BABY
