Pros: Great specs, awesome when DD-WRT installed.
Wireless capable of 300 Mbit.
After replacing bad cap, its back to running rock solid at 300 Mb.
Cons: After about 18 months, router exhibited odd behavior. Wireless would cut out while streaming HD vid, would lock up occasionally and require hard restart. Finally, it stopped turning on (would turn on, blink lights, then shut off).
Disassembled, found bulging 680uF cap. Removed & replaced, back up and running now, as good as new.
Other Thoughts: Disclaimer: I have an HD Homerun Prime, and this router very reliably streamed HD cable content (10-30 Mbit) over wireless for hours on end, for about 12 months. This may/may not be the extreme case of constant wireless usage intended for this router. If I have to replace the cap every 1.5 to 2 years, fine. The hardware specs are awesome enough and the fix relatively easy enough that I'm only knocking off 1 egg.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: MSI A55M-E33 FM2+ / FM2 AMD A55 (Hudson D2) HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Have 2 of these boards running without any issues for the past few months.
Recently upgraded one from A4-4000 to an A8-6600k and switched to discrete graphics (igpu disabled). No problems at all.
Cons: CPU fan header doesn't support 3 pin fan speed control (voltage vs pwm). -1 star because I had to plug the CPU fan into the Sys fan header, which DOES control fan speed for 3 pin fans.
Only 2 fan headers (cpu and system).
MSI ControlCenter ui very laggy, nearly unusable.
Other Thoughts: I bought this board when it first came out, maybe they've botched them since then?
I see a lot of bad reviews, but I've had zero issues with 2 of these boards, using A4-4000 or A8-6600k, integrated graphics or discrete.
This review is from: MASSCOOL FD08025B1M3/4 80mm Cooling Fan
Pros: At mid/high rpms, they are not that loud, and move a very good amount of air.
Cons: None for my purposes.
Other Thoughts: Used 4 of them (2 in 2 out) in a 24/7 media server, kept around 2k rpms. Keeps server and all 7 drives very cool (7-10 C drop for hard drives temps).
Never tried lower rpms.
