WD Red 3TB NAS Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM Class SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD30EFRX
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: These days it seems like a gamble if HDs will work out of the box. I ordered 2 of these for a RAID1 setup, they both work great, right out of the box.

Cons: About the same speeds as WD Green drive that I have (via CrystalDiskMark). Little disappointing considering the price premium, but the "peace of mind" knowing these are purpose built for NAS/RAID duties is worth it.

SanDisk 128GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I/Class 10 Memory Card with Adapter, Speed Up to 80MB/s (SDSQUNC-128G-GN6MA)
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Tons of space.
Quick enough to have camera/video write directly to the card (previous phone/card could not keep up with camera/video writing directly to card).
SanDisk name.

Cons: None?

Other Thoughts: SD, SDXC, SDABC, SDXYZ,, so many types of SD cards its getting cumbersome to make sure I'm getting the right card with enough speed to satisfy my use case. Just wanted to add that this card definitely has enough speed to work as the camera/video storage on an S7.

WD Green WD10EZRX 1TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5

5 out of 5 eggs Not the fastest, not the slowest 03/08/2016

This review is from: WD Green WD10EZRX 1TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: It's middle of the pack when it comes to ~1TB hard drive speeds, but it serves its purpose as 1 of several media server drives.
Currently used as the primary recording drive and playback of most recent recordings. Doesn't hiccup at all with simultaneous recording and playback.

Cons: I've bought cheaper drives in the past that were faster than this. I suppose that was waayyy back?

Other Thoughts: Would not hesitate to use this as a secondary drive. Primary drive, ehh.
