This review is from: ZOTAC IONITX-A-U Atom 330 1.6GHz Dual-Core NVIDIA ION Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU Combo
Pros: Price, size, performance, power usage, quiet, cool, fast post (as soon as you turn on itll show the OS you're booting; in otherwords this thing skips/has instant POST)
Cons: Requires change in bios to maximize this product to handle 1080p video
Other Thoughts: At first i thought this thing couldnt handle 1080p because it was choking on an Openelec XBMC Build. However i Read on the zotac forum that you have to go in the bios and change the southbridge setting for the iGPU buffer from 64MB to 512MB. This refers to shared memory and after bumping it up to 512, this thing handles 1080p like a charm.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It can handle World of warcraft on my LCD native resolution of 1680 x 1050 (22 inch). The fps over all in world of warcraft was anywhere from 100 - 200 fps. I was really surprised that i finally had a decent graphics card. my previous card was the nvidia 6600 and this card dramatically made a huge difference.
The price was excellent.. i think it was 65 after rebates
Cons: LOUD FAN. Ive been reading though, you can get an after market heatsink and fan to make this card cooler and quieter. People are recommending Zalman VF700. not bad because its about 25 bux.
But yea this fan is really loud.
Other Thoughts: Other than the fan, you can overclock this sucker. this is overall a great GPU. BTW if you play counter strike 1.6 or source, it will handle it really well... I got 100 fps in cs1.6 and about 200 in cs source (HL2 engine that uses lots of complex polygon shapes)READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: GIGABYTE GH-PCU32-VH 80mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Pros: This heatsink fan has a cool unique look with a blue LED. It also cools part of your mobo. The fan speed tuner mounts/looks great and is pretty cool to use.
Cons: It didnt cool to my liking. It knocked off about 5*C from my stock heatsink/fan.....however when i overclocked from a 2.6 to a 2.9, the temps remained the same.
Other Thoughts: I really liked the blue led & the fan speed controller.
