This review is from: SILVERSTONE SST-FP32-B Aluminum USB/1394/Audio Panel ( Black )
Pros: This was a nice way to expand my USB ports, plus it has fire wire. Solid build, wires weren't to short. Still works a year later.
Cons: Shielding on the wiring was a bit annoying, you can receive a buzz off this thing when you rocking headphones. No problem though, I just switched back to my case jacks.
Other Thoughts: Not to much to say, it works fine with usb objects, just not headphones.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 2TB, I use it for the "cellar" storage method on a gaming rig. haven't had any issues with it. Cheap, got mine for 80$.
Cons: Slow, I didn't think about it when I bought it, as per most drives are 7200RPM, but I should have paid attention, it's 5400RPM at best.
Other Thoughts: I bought this along with another Samsung 1 TB and shuttered to think of what would happen, but after a year mine still holds solid. The 1TB failed recently, but this one seems to hold strong, I think these 2 drives will be the last of Samsung for me though, WD 5 Year warranty just feels safer compared to the 1 year joke warranty that these come with.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RC-408X 10/100Mbps 8-Port Fast Ethernet Switch
Pros: Works great, I have 3 Xbox's, 2 Desktops and a wireless router plugged into it and it works fine. Gets decent speeds. Got it for 10$ on a Newegg special.
Cons: Not really a con but the wire for this thing is only 3 maybe 4 feet long, it's kind of a pain when you have it up on a desk or shelf. Wall mounting is also very strange, you have to use very head size specific screws.
Other Thoughts: I have this between my wireless modem and an extra Netgear router for range, and it doesn't interfere with my consoles NAT or speeds so very happy with that. I don't see why it isn't a 1000mb capable, especially for the time it was made, but hey for 10 bucks, I really couldn't argue. And do be wary, this thing is actually a 7 port, the #8 port doesn't work well with anything but your router or input from modem even though the auto polarity works great on all other ports, so just keep that little fact in mind.READ FULL REVIEW
