MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3) LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Works great and have had none of the power cycle problems that a few people have mentioned. Was able to easily overclock my 2500k to 4.5GHz in the bios.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is my first MSI board. I have been using Gigabyte motherboards for all my past builds until now. They have all worked great in the past but I have noticed a lot of bad feedback on their current products. I decided on going with MSI this time due to their warranty and the great customer feedback on their products. I could not be happier and MSI will have a long time customer in me. Thanks MSI!

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Keeps my i5-2500k running nice and cool between 35c-45c under stress. That is with my 2500k OCed to 4.5ghz. Idle temps seem to be between 25c-35c. This is my first aftermarket cooler and I couldn't be happier with the performance.

Cons: A little big. Almost blocked me from using 4 sticks of ram. Thought ahead though and bought the G.Skill Sniper series ram which has a low profile and barely fit. Not enough to take an egg away though.

Pros: Have had this same power supply running on two systems now since 2008 and it's still going strong. Haven't had a since problem with this power supply.

Cons: Non modular but I knew that when I bought it so no reason to take an egg.

Other Thoughts: Corsair power supplies have proven themselves to me in the many builds I have used them on. I will continue to use them on future builds.
