Pros: Small footprint
All gigabit ports
USB share port
Very good price (on sale)
Cons: Locks up CONSTANTLY
Have to reset 2-3 times a day
Wireless range is not very good compared to Asus or D-Link AC routers, even those without external antennas
Built-in management interface is abysmal. Slow to load if it does at all, options are too spaced out for the load times. Hard to tell which options will cause the router to reboot to apply changes, which kicks you off unless you're wired.
Other Thoughts: Got this router on a Black Friday sale. The price was right and I needed an AC router. My mistake. It's unstable, slow, and needlessly arduous to configure. I have all the routing functions disabled and am running it as a simple access point, and it still manages to lock up constantly and boot all the devices off the wireless network. I go to configure it, and maybe 1/5 times the management page will load. The rest of the time it just spins or loads the gray background.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ARRIS / Motorola SurfBoard SB6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Doesn't work. Only connects 1 in 4 times, and then dies in minutes. Confirmed DOA by Cox installer after 3 days of troubleshooting. Signal tested excellent, replaced with Cisco modem and everything is fine.
Other Thoughts: Slightly over 30 days so I can't request a refund. Unacceptable. If Motorola doesn't make good on the warranty this will be a serious problem.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Able to hold an install of Windows plus some programs
Cons: Refurbished = basically no warranty
Other Thoughts: Bought for a micro-ITX box to run Sophos UTM. Boots to connected in 45 seconds, no heat issues, and no my box has no moving parts to make noise. Got it on sale, so but you still can't beat the price.READ FULL REVIEW
