This review is from: CORSAIR Hydro Series H90 High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 140mm
Pros: Used the same bracket as the BXRTS2011LC that came with my i7-3930K, literally just dropped it in and was back in business!
Cons: It's a 140mm fan and radiator, make sure you have a large enough case and check clearances for RAM etc...
Other Thoughts: Bought an i7-3930K a year and a half ago and the pump on the stock water cooler just died. I use my PC for coding at work and even when the stock cooler was working it would still hit 75C under heavy load with no OC! Under load with the H90 I haven't hit 50C with any cores yet and it's not even broken in! I might have to overclock it just to get into normal operating temps....READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Nostalgia, Nostalgia, Nostalgia! Good 600x400 performance in most games, 800x600 with lowered detail. No need for Prime95 to torture test this Pentium 4! It runs at 100% capacity while web surfing!
Cons: 60 Gig HDD is a bit of overkill, I can't imagine ever needing that much space!
Other Thoughts: 512MB of RAM is nice, but I would recommend bumping up your Page File just a bit. You might as well get some use out of that ridiculously large HDD!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill FORT120 120mm Direct Touch CPU Cooler w/ 775&1366 Retention Brackets
Pros: Back Plate, 120mm fan, copper direct touch and this cooler is fairly cheap! *if you have a removable MOBO tray* like my Cooler Master CSX Blue Flame 830 ATX Full Tower you can get away without removing the MOBO with a little finesse. I am using an ASUS Maximus Formula Board and had no issuses with this HSF and my Dominator RAM height.
Cons: If you feel that having to remove your MOBO to install a HSF is a con you might want to rethink OverClocking.....
Can't use my case's panel fans because this cooler is BIG. (Still Dropped Temps)
Other Thoughts: For the money this is a great cooler! I replaced an ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro-92mm (Great Cooler) with the Fort120 on my Q9550 OC'd to 3.2GHz. I didn't even bother to apply new Arctic Silver when I Dropped in the Fort120 just to see if I could notice a temp drop from the Direct Touch. Dropped 4C to 59C under full load (Prime95 Small FFT's), I am going to pull it back off, apply new thermal paste and re-seat it to see if it drops further. I do like the little Thermal Paste Spatula they include; I think it will help fill in between the Heat Pipes and CPU contact pad...READ FULL REVIEW
