This review is from: BYTECC SATA-118C 18" Serial ATA-150/300 Cable w/Locking Latch
Pros: Good Length (maybe too much)
Great Color for Primary Drive
Latch Works Well
Cons: Somewhat Cheap Materials, could be better
Other Thoughts: Really a great value at $3.50 which I paid. Excellent bright red color to identify the primary/system drive in a multiple-HDD system. For that reason I would absolutely recommend this product.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Nippon Labs HDB-252A Screw Less Dual 2.5" HDD/SS Plastic Bracket Black Color
Pros: Good Size
Handle (of debatable convenience)
Does Job Well
Cons: Cheap Plastic
Concerned about having to break pins to remove it
Other Thoughts: This is a very solid product. It does exactly what it sets out to do. The drives feel solid in the adapter, and the pins solidly keep the adapter in place.
Unfortunately, it is cheap plastic, and the pins will be a PITA to remove without breaking. Still, I can not complain too much, as it is a $5 component. It's well worth the money.
This review is from: APEX SK-393-C Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: Solidly built
Convenient front USB (4x2.0) and audio ports
Decently sized drive cage
Cons: Top mounted PSU (this may be personal and subjective)
Drive cage doesn't appear to be removeable at all
No cable routing
No 2.5" bays in drive cage
No fans included
Other Thoughts: This is a very good value case, but it has no bells or whistles whatsoever.
If a few things were fixed and the price kept low, it would be a fantastic case. (Cable routing, PSU placement, fan inclusion, more fan mounts, and removeable drive cages)
A $50 version with those features I could recommend to just about anyone who needed a better basic case.
As it stands, this is a good case for more basic builds, and a great value.
Aaaaand it's got a floppy bay. It'd be nice to see a USB port bank designed to fit in a floppy bay.
