PowerColor Go! Green AX5450 1GBK3-SH Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) 1GB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Was looking for something for my HTPC, and two other computers I built for a low price. Enter: Newegg.

1. Excellent card for watching movies, etc. I installed this card in two computers as a 2.0 x16 PCIE slot, both worked great. The last computer was installed as a 2.1 x16 PCIE, also worked flawlessly.

2. Installed out of the box, and drivers installed great. This works for me.

Cons: 1. None so far. I use this videocard daily for watching Netflix and AmazonPrime movies from my HTPC. It is hooked up to a 50 inch Samsung Smart TV.

5 out of 5 eggs Just realized I've installed three of these babies 04/24/2013

This review is from: PowerColor Go! Green AX5450 512MK3-SH Radeon HD 5450 (Cedar) 512MB 64-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

Pros: Was looking for something for my HTPC, and two other computers I built for a low price. Enter: Newegg.

1. Excellent low-profile for watching movies, etc. I installed this card in two computers as a 2.0 x16 PCIE slot, both worked great. The last computer was installed as a 2.1 x16 PCIE, also worked flawlessly.

2. Installed out of the box, and drivers installed great. This works for me. I actually decided to upgrade to the 1 GB card for this same brand because I was so happy with this little graphics card.

Cons: 1. After about 6 months of use, I started to notice 'lines' going across my TV. It was the graphics card. I bought the 1 GB PowerColor GO!, and have not had any problems since.

2. NOT FOR HEAVY USE. I put this in my mothers and brothers computer, both whom I know use the computer less frequently than I do. Puts out excellent resolution for what they need.

Other Thoughts: I bought a 50 inch TV recently, and used this card for quite some time. When the lines started appearing on the TV, I switched to the higher 1 GB graphics card, no issues since.

AMD FX-4100 Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD4100WMGUSBX

5 out of 5 eggs Runs Cool and Quiet, Used for an Entertainment PC 08/28/2012

This review is from: AMD FX-4100 Zambezi Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD4100WMGUSBX

Pros: Pros:
1. Runs cool. I have been running this chip in my 80F+ degree apartment for a full two weeks now. Never a degree above 40 C. Even with the burnout test on, it got up to 56 C and held steady (max operating is 70 C for this CPU)

2. Easy to install. Heatsink is standard with thermal paste pre-loaded on it. I didn't bother putting anything else on as it was nice and coated.

3. Instructions are clear. Sometimes it's it or miss. I'm a reader. I read over EVERY SINGLE THING before touching a component. My motherboard required AM3+ socket, I bought an AM3+ socket CPU. Fit perfectly, runs perfectly.

Cons: 1. Packaging - Doesn't come in a static-free packaging, so BE VERY CAREFUL when trying to pop it out. Don't pop it out until ready to install.

Other Thoughts: I used this chip for my HTPC connected directly to my TV via an HDMI cable. I accidentally bought the AM3 (NOT the AM3+, oops) processor, but once I returned it and received this, everything was right as rain!
