This review is from: StarTech SAT2510BU2E Aluminum 2.5" Black SATA USB2.0 & eSATA External Enclosure
Pros: Nice design. Comes with all cables (seriously, this is a big deal these days). USB works like a charm. Case does a good job if dissipating heat from hard drive by acting like a heat sink. .
Cons: eSATA just does not work. Do some Googling on this and you will see what I am talking about. The drive just kind of goes offline temporarily, and it will take the OS about a minute to re establish a connection. The power cable is a USB connector as well.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for the eSATA capability. Unfortunately,y I just ended up with a nice USB enclosure. It still works very well, but I cannot help but be disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: PNY Attaché 2 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive Model P-FD16GATT2-GE
Pros: -Fairly well made. It is not a military grade device, so if you do not abuse it, it will hold together.
-Assembled in the USA! Wow, do not expect to see that on anything electronic these days. So I will be buying PNY from now on.
-Solid cap. It stays on. Most do not, or wear to the point that they fall of. This one has a nice on.
Cons: -I do wonder if the keychain hole will break after prolonged use if you put it on a set of keys.
Other Thoughts: Well, it is a flash drive. It's job is to be a portable little storage device. This one handles the duties, does it well, and most importantly does the little things like have a cap that does not fall off.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Cisco Small Business RV110W-A-NA-K9 Wireless-N VPN Firewall
Pros: -Excellent Throughput
-Decent Wireless Range
-Setup is easy
-Great Guest wireless feature
Cons: -No site-site VPN
-Management interface has its quirks, many of which are quite annoying.
Other Thoughts: First of all - this is not a small business device. It is a very good home router with the latest firmware, but it is not business grade. There is no site-site VPN functionality, and for that I docked it an egg.
That being said, it works well. Throughput is impressive, and it is a snap to setup. I was also pleasantly surprised at the wireless. I was not expecting much, but it works well and has good range for such a low end device. Overall, I would recommend this to those looking for a solid home router that is not a cheap $29 special.
