This review is from: Aluratek AUV200F USB 2.0 Hi-Res VGA External Video Card Adapter
Pros: Good video quality
Easy to set up
Low use of resources
Cons: Hardware failure
Other Thoughts: At my office, we have about 8 people with this device. When this device works, it works great. But out of nowhere, 3 of them have developed problems and quit working. It turns out to be a known issue. If the product ID in the hardware device manager shows up as 8060, then you might as well order a replacement. I have been searching for some kind of firmware upgrade other kind of fix, but there seems to be none. So far, 3 out of 8 have gone bad in about 2 years.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Bios boots to Windows logo in 2 seconds!
i3 processor is fast
3 USB 3.0 ports
Good battery life (about 4 hours in real world)
Quality display (and not glossy)
Win 7 Professional
Cons: Comes with some bloatware (mostly from Lenovo and Syamantec)
Hard drive not the fastest
Only 2 GB of RAM
Other Thoughts: As with other reviewers, mine came from Antonline. However, mine came in perfect shape. I think others may have received returned laptops from other customers.
I am very pleased with this laptop since I upgraded the hard drive to SSD and the memory to 8GB. I removed all bloat and unnecessary services. With all my apps installed and antivirus, it completely boots and is ready for use in exactly 1 minute. But that will not be the case unless you upgrade. Stock, expect about a 2 minute boot time. I cannot give a full 5 stars because it is the best it can be right out of the box.
This review is from: Dell 1250c Personal Up to 12 ppm 600 x 600 dpi Color Print Quality Color LED Printer
Pros: Good print quality.
Cons: Goes to sleep quickly and will not wake from sleep when you try to print. Warming up and printing is a little slow.
Other Thoughts: I contacted Dell support about the sleep issue. They said that function cannot be disabled - only adjusted to a max of 6 minutes before going to sleep. Many people on forums complained about this problem and there is no real solution. However, a few people claim the problem was fixed with various solutions (firmware or updating drivers through Windows Update). None of their solutions worked for me. Dell had no way of fixing it and recommended that I return the printer if I was not happy with it. That's what I did.READ FULL REVIEW
