Pros: Might have been a decent card if it worked
Cons: Didn't work (see other thoughts):
Had to pay for shipping for item to be delivered AND for item to be shipped back.
-That equals approx $20.00 worth of shipping. Pretty much 30% of what the cards worth :(
If a company sells a product and they stand behind their merchandice, I believe that they should cover shipping if their product does not work or is defective for some reason.
--kind of makes me wonder about Zotac (and New Eggs policies).
Other Thoughts: Will not work with my machine: Dell Dimension E310:
Error message loading Win XP sp3:
*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your Hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check /Memory Parity Error
***The System has halted***
I've tried replacing memory modules, reseating the card, updating BIOS, replacing power supply (to conform with min system requirements).
This card just seems to be incompatible with the machine that I have. Other users look to be having similair issues.
Pros: Actually works better than USB adapters.
Cons: Locks up the PCI bus: System Freezes intermittently.
Locked up consistantly with ASRock X522 mb. VIA P4X255E chipset. Could not get this to work. Bought a new dell XPS and the card locked that machine up as well. Latest drivers.
Other Thoughts: To happen on one machine I can understand, but to happen on two machines using different hardware and configurations (one being BRAND NEW), is unexceptable. No firmware updates and nothing in their knowledge base. Tech Support is nice, but worthless..But this card at your own risk. Of course you'll get a 30 day money back gaurantee if you buy it at a retail store, so if you want to see if it works on 'your' computer, you wont be at a loss..except time and fustration..READ FULL REVIEW
