This review is from: COOLMAX HD-250T-eSATA Aluminum 2.5" Gray SATA USB & eSATA External Enclosure
Pros: Low price and offers eSATA connection.
Both USB and eSATA worked.
Cons: Like the previous review stated, the label tends to peel off a little.
eSATA requires both eSATA and USB (to provide power) cable connected.
Other Thoughts: Seemed cheaply made and low quality but functional.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Read and write speed is as advertised.
Cons: 1) Runs hot, about 40C idle and can climb pretty high if used heavily.
2) Readyboost for Vista does not work with this SSD if using the ExpressCard slot, but will work if using the USB connection. Strange but might be my laptop's problem.
3) Also, some laptops may have trouble detecting. I had to reboot the laptop with the ssd already plugged in the expresscard slot for it to work. Otherwise, it will not detect for some strange reason, but no big deal, at least it works.
Other Thoughts: Dollar/Gigabyte is still very high for SSD.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Pretty fast. Average sequential read is around 55-60MB/s and average sequential write is about 50-55MB/s. Runs cool at around 36-43C depending on load. Vibration and sound is insignificant even under load. Have been using for 24 hours/day for everyday and almost a year now. Still no problem.
Cons: Wished it had SATA 3.0Gb/s instead.
Other Thoughts: Quality drive but better drives are already in the market ever since I bought this.READ FULL REVIEW
