APEVIA X-TELSTAR-BK Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer CaseNo Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Well finished.

Cons: I can't believe that this case won't accept the ATI 5970 that I'm replacing let alone the ATI 7990 that's taking its place!!!!

Other Thoughts: The side-mounted hard drive rack directly blocks mounting of any of the newer high performance graphics cards.

The case is two inches too short for my 7990...too bad, otherwise a nice case....

SAPPHIRE 100280SR Radeon HD 5970 (Hemlock) 2GB 512 (256 x 2)-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Awesome GPU, easy install, zero glitches, runs cool and most importantly-it's FAST, FAST,FAST. Games like Rise of Flight, the COD series, etc. all run at blinding speeds with everything cranked to the max and 4X anti-aliasing enabled.

Cons: Pretty pricey. I know it does alot but you will pay for the performance. Alittle large but absolutely no problem fitting in my tower case. Did have to remove an unused (and easily removable) 3 1/2 inch hard drive cage to make the installation seamless. Would have fit without removing the cage but I'm lazy and it came out with moving one unlocking lever.

Other Thoughts: Didn't even install the included software-went straight to ATI (AMD) and downloaded the latest driver and control center-which was newer. Never had any kind of glitch on my Vista 32 gaming computer. Didn't install the included WDM driver-I don't use that feature so why clutter things up.

5 out of 5 eggs I love this board! 02/27/2009

This review is from: MSI X58 Pro LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Easy install, excellent board layout leaves lots of room for installing the cpu fan, memory, drive connections and USB connections. Very stable with Vista home premium. My ATI 4870 1 gig is also very happy in it's new home. I did have the latest drivers on hand for the original install of the GPU.

I installed 6 gig of Corsair 1330 DDR3 and it works like a champ.

Cons: None whatsoever. Love the board.
