ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: nice appearance/visual design

Cons: the software that comes with it is a combination of bloatware and gimmicks (the 5 way optimization and fan controls are useless) i'm getting a error on login "can't open AsIO.sys !! (2)" i've upgraded Win7, uninstalled reinstalled all the ASUS stuff to no avail -i googled it and found out its an ASUS problem as far back as 2006 - but no one has a fix! i'm ready to RMA the thing and go buy an asrock

Other Thoughts: i've wasted $2000 on a new rig that's slower than my old 2600k build in terms of 3DMark 11 graphics scores and FPS for gaming - bummer i should have waited for a month or two before buying to get the scoop on who's selling quality gear - my bad

2 out of 5 eggs Fun but not any better than prior technology 09/10/2014

This review is from: ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Nice quality and add on features. I'll have to play around with it it to manually tune the clock and beat the optimization tool.

Cons: Not a good value. I benchmarked the new build against my old 2600k rig and there is minimal difference in performance characteristics that matter to gaming. So I spent over $2000 and can't tell any difference in game play. So if u r thinking u will have a better gaming rig and u have a recent chip set u are fooling yourself. It's new and fun to play with but until game developers leverage multi cores the tech plateau has already been reached. Also look at the CPU benchmarks there is no reason to by the $1000 part. If u have a pre z 68 build u will probably see a good improvement.

Other Thoughts: Prior build z68 asrock gen3, Intel 2600k, 2sli 780ti, 16gb mem, win7, medium over clocked 3dmark 11 19,500; 29,300 graphics
New system x99 asus deluxe, intel 5930, 2sli 780ti, 16gb mem,win 7, over clocked with the asus automated optimization 30% increase in CPU 3d mark 11 21,500; 26,027 graphics (actually LOWER than the old rig!) frame rates were actually higher on the old rig as well and it is gen 2.0

Both have ssd drives for OS and gaming apps

This review is from: WD 4TB My Cloud Personal Cloud Storage - Retail

Pros: nothing

Cons: It worked for a bit then death - the reset won't work - absolute junk. I should have paid more attention to all the bad reviews saying that their quality sucks!
