Pros: Ran perfect for almost one year. I liked the performance when it did work...
Cons: When it goes out at first signs thought it was the motherboard and sent that to ASUS to find out there was nothing wrong with the board. The reason I thought it was defective that way was that my network was not working when connected and when I removed this system it works. Next I removed the defective card and it ran fine for about the next two weeks on just the single card, then that card went down. have tried to do the warranty online with no success as the web page: http://www.bfgtech.com/ comes up with this message "The BFG Tech STORE is inaccessible temporarily. Please try again later. Thank you !" I have also tried calling the the following numbers:
Phone: (847) 281-3110
Technical Support: 1-866-BFG-FIXX (234-3499)
On the first one I get just s short like busy signal and on the second one no answer and it just keeps ringing.
Other Thoughts: I will never buy another BFG product again as now I am having a hard time finding replacement cards and that does not even include coming up with the money to replace them! Forgot the old saying that a Lifetime Warranty is only as good as the company that stands by it! Why does Newegg not allow lower than one egg?READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I got two more of these and they are a little different then the first four I got about a year ago. This time I setup all six of them eSATA and the difference was unreal! No more problems like with the USB connection were sometimes you have to turn them off & on again just so the computer will see them. The transfer time is shocking as it is like 10 sec. to move a 700 meg file to them. The new drives did not have the cheap fans that come apart & the case is a little bit longer.
Cons: I wish Cavalry had an upgrade program so that you could upgrade these from 2TB to 4TB!
Other Thoughts: I built a new Pentium Dual-Quad and put two "Iogear IOGIC704SR5W RAID5 eSATA 1.5Gbps External 4-Port PCI Cards" in so that I would be able to connect at least eight sSATA drives & I love it!READ FULL REVIEW
