This review is from: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-850 HDTV USB 2.0 Adapter
Pros: Records tv as it says. With it being USB, it works in a lot of machines. I previously had a Hauppauge Express card, but the new laptop only had USB.
I used this for a little while with Windows 7 and the Windows Media Center and it worked great. I then moved it to MythTV running on my Linux desktop box and it works great there too (I had to play around with the drivers, but the MythTV forums came through with some good advice).

This review is from: Rosewill RCW-616 Laptop 2.5" to Desktop 3.5" IDE Hard Drive Adapter Converter
Pros: There's not really much to this - it's just a one to one pin converter. I'm using this on a newer 2.5" IDE SSD drive I began using in an older laptop. When the laptop died, I moved the drive to a desktop machine.

This review is from: OCZ Solid 3 SLD3-25SAT3-60G 2.5" 60GB SATA III MLC
Pros: I've been using two of these drives for over a year, and it's been great. I bought two when they were on sale. One for my Linux server and the other for my work laptop. No problems with either.
