XFX Double D R9-280X-TDFD Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

5 out of 5 eggs If you are having 'screen flickering' problems, contact XFXForce 07/01/2014

This review is from: XFX Double D R9-280X-TDFD Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: After contacting XFXForce about the 'screen flickering' issue I was having, I received a reply from them about an updated bios for the video card. Since then I have not had even one issue with the screen flickering again.

Cons: None other than Battlefield 4 will absolutely not run more than a few minutes before locking up my computer. Before it ran pretty good, but the screen flickering was annoying.

Other Thoughts: If this video card had come with the updated bios already installed then I would have more than likely changed my mind about ever buying an Nvidia card again. Even tho this card is running really good now with the updated bios, it may end up being my one and only AMD video card purchase.

XFX Double D R9-280X-TDFD Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: When the card works, it is an amazing video card

Cons: The screen flickers or jumps constantly either in desktop or in games. No matter what I have done, I can't get rid of the jerky video. If anyone has any thoughts or has come across a way of getting this card to work right, please let me know.

Other Thoughts: I have reinstalled OS, rolled back drivers, updated drivers, underclocked the video card and overclocked the video card...not sure what to do with it. My GTX480 holds up pretty good compared to this since it doesn't have the shakes...

CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 (CWCH100/RF) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Quiet, powerful cooling for overclockers...this is the best that I've tried so far.

Cons: Very loud when starting your computer. The fans spin up to full speed until the motherboard has a chance to read the temperature settings and adjust accordingly.

Other Thoughts: Easy to install, easier to use. Just forget about it once you have installed it because its going to do its job no matter if you sit there and stare at it or go about your life.
