Very happy with this mainboard
Pros: All the latest and greatest + the legacy. Super easy to work with. Runs like a champ (hopefully for a long time).
Cons: Ummm... it wasn't free ;-)
Overall Review: I was looking for a solid, reliable (but cheap) solution to upgrade old systems to the latest in performance and peripherals while supporting legacy cards and peripherals. I also wanted an upgrade path for when the current hot-rod CPUs become a lot cheaper in a couple years. I loaded this board with a G850 2.9Ghz Sandy Bridge kit (BX80623G850) + G.SKILL Ripjaws X (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL) + an old WD 160GB SATA2 hard drive, a DVD burner and a new Antec 400w PS I had sitting in inventory. The build runs flawlessly, with super LOW temps, is very responsive and only pulls between 40w and 60w depending on the load, so the 400w PS is basically idling. Win7 Pro 64 says CPU=6.7, Memory=7.6, Disk=5.9, Gaming Graphics=5.8 and Desktop Graphics=5.2 (the graphics scores come from the G850's built-in Intel HD Graphics 2000). The beauty of this configuration is that I get very good performance now and a major performance boost in a few years with an Ivy Bridge I5 or I7 when they get a lot cheaper. The G.Skill memory automatically clocked down to the 1333 limit of the G850 but is ready for 1600 with an Ivy Bridge CPU. With this board as a foundation I have a nice, mid-range system that was cost effective to build, runs great, consumes very little electricity, will support just about any card or peripheral you have and has a great CPU (and video) upgrade path for when it's needed. I'm not one who likes to whizz away my hard-earned money chasing the ultimate technology. I'm into minimum hassles and maximum reliability, flexibility and bang-for-the-buck. This configuration is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier.
Works fine for me
Pros: Cheap and it works.
Cons: It wasn't free (but pretty close).
Overall Review: Plugged this into a new build and Win7 64 loaded the drivers automatically. It's been working fine ever since and has never dropped a connection. Basically, I don't even know it's there (which is exactly how it should be). Got it on sale for about 10 bucks so what more can you ask ?? I like it
Pros: Fast. Automagically clocked down to the 1333 that is the max of the G850 CPU I used.
Cons: Ummm... it wasn't free ;-)
Overall Review: Mounted on a GigaByte GA-B75M-D3V with a G850 2.9Ghz Sandy Bridge kit (BX80623G850) . Win7 Pro 64 says Memory=7.6 (out of a possible 7.9) even though it is only running at 1333, which is the max of the G850 CPU. Perfect for general and business use
Pros: Fast enough and the internal graphics are perfectly fine for general and business use.
Cons: A little more expensive than I was hoping for, but I wanted the 1333 memory bandwidth.

I like it
Pros: Ordered it on 9/1/2009 (had to go back through my order history to find it), and all I can remember is that it was a no-brainer for me to get it going. It's been plugged in, turned on and running ever since. I'm a software guy who is comfortable swapping out computer hardware but I'm not a network guy by any means.
Cons: None from me. How can I complain about a $29 N router that's been flawless for coming up on 3 years now. I never even updated the firmware from the original.
Overall Review: Gonna buy another to have a spare just in case.
System Mechanic Excellent #2
Pros: Have been running it for many years and it's great. Others have written about the features so I won't repeat that. I will point out that it has a "whole house" license, which means that you are not limited to 3 machines. With me, the wife and kids, I've got a bunch of desktops and laptops in the house and they all run on the same license. To me, that's a big deal, and a great one too.
Cons: Haven't found a "real" one yet. Some reviewers squawk about the annual license renewal but to me it's basically irrelevant because it's available free (after rebate) at various times all year long at numerous retailers like Newegg (where it's free right now as I write this) and your local office supply stores. So it costs me basically NOTHING to keep EVERY desktop and laptop in my house running clean and optimized all year. I just need to send in the rebate and install a new copy once a year. And I've never had an instance of rebate trouble either.
Overall Review: Great product that automatically pushes the latest updates and improved functionality to you, along with a whole house license and free after rebate = a great deal to me. If you think doing a rebate and reinstall once a year is too big a hassle, then I don't know what to tell you.
