ASUS GTX780-DC2OC-3GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: I have had 2 in SLI for about 2 years now and it destroys games. Plays all, ALL games at MAX settings, no exceptions. If you can find these, get them. These are fast, silent, cool and great looking. Although I never understood why the design of mother boards and video cards install the cards with the good looking side facing down. Anyway, I will eventually upgrade, probably to Titan X or Z but only after games progress to the point where I find it necessary to lower my settings.

Cons: None, I am totally pleased.

Other Thoughts: You will never find these new at this point (although Newegg is showing them as out of stock, not unavailable) but you may be able to find these used for 250 - 300, would still be a smart buy..

ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Bios, built like a tank, looks, best i've seen.

Cons: Like all mother boards, need more 9 pin USB headers. A total of 5 or 6 would be nice. Seems I always need to buy an expander.

Other Thoughts: I've been an electronics tech for 43 years. Spent my last 7 doing electronics design and repair in the healthcare industry. Been building cutom desktop PCs on the side for 12-13 years @ around 3-4 a year. This is the best PC motherboard I have seen or used so far. I will keep buying them until ASUS comes out with something that I feel is superior.

RAIDMAX Raptor ATX-823BR Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

2 out of 5 eggs Not worth the money at all 06/19/2013

This review is from: RAIDMAX Raptor ATX-823BR Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: The only pros that really deserve mention are The spaciousness & the looks. Fans included is nice also.

Cons: I have many cons. The power button was defective. Found this after completely building the unit. they sent me a switch / cable assy that looked generic & would require a complete disassembly. They wouldn't send me a new case so I could just teransfere my components over & return the defect - I even offered to pay for the replacement if they would refund the $$ upon the receipt of the defect --- NO. I ended up changing wires & using the reset button for power & mounting a push button in the back of the case for reset, hope I won't need it too often. The plastic trim on the front is VERY flimsey. The USBs and all controls are on top. You will need to stand up a lot if you put this on a table - plus the USBs will fill with dust. Side cover screw holes are off making install dificult. Instruction book is so bad it's funny. No small drive bay in the front for a floppy, YES, some of us have old floppys that we refere to on occassion. and last, the polarity connectors for speakers, LEDs etc. are not identified.

Other Thoughts: If you can get this for cheap & want to deal with it, OK but I would not pay more.
