Pros: Well built, nice feel, great look, precise and responsive
Other Thoughts: Grab one when they go on sale for 34.99 with free shipping quite oftenREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: It works OK according to my dad for whom I bought it for. Supports DD-WRT. I paid 24.99 shipped on sale from Newegg.
Cons: Ralink chipset so it does not support Tomato which is the best firmware out as of now in my opinion. My dad had to call me to get it setup for him. Not as easy setup as ASUS claims for people with less to no computer experience.
Other Thoughts: ASUS does not make that great of firmware. It can be buggy and unstable at times. There are also many typos within the firmware interface.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great hardware to install TomatoUSB, Toastman, RAF, MLPPP, DD-WRT, etc. If you are unsure what all this is then just google it and read. You will be amazed. You can turn this 95 dollar router in to a powerhouse worth a whole lot more. It has been running rock solid for almost a week now. Great throughput on the WAN and LAN.
Cons: Stock ASUS firmware was not good in my opinion and very unstable. I tried it just to check it out even knowing I was going to install TomatoUSB VPN toastmans newest release with RAF added features. The wireless strength and speed could be better but it is still decently good. Also not a big fan of the case color but who cares right. I like the blue lights but can be bright for some people. What's on the inside and how well it performs is what counts.
Other Thoughts: 480mhz Broadcom MIPS2 cpu, 128mb memory and 32mb flash memory. 2 USB ports and WPS button can be reassigned to do what you want. I have mine set at Toastman's default of toggling the wireless radio on and off. This is my favorite pre-built router I have ever owned so far. I have had and tried many routers. I have custom built routers I have built also which I have tried just about every flavor of router OS there is available.READ FULL REVIEW
