Roomy and Beautiful

IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case
IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is beautiful. Very sleek design and not too busy looking. I can't stop looking at it. Spacious. This is my first Full Tower case; moving from a mid-tower to this was eye opening at what I can do. I never considered attempting liquid cooling and dual GPUs until now. I had plenty of room to see and manipulate the wires as I needed. Solid. This case including the plastic parts feel very sturdy and solid. I almost want to attach some C4 to it, you know, just to see. Expansion. I love the USB 2.0 and 3.0 as well as the SATA3 connection at the top of the case. I have a lot of temporary items I attach to my computer and this makes it very simple. Too bad my MOBO doesn't have a connector for front USB 3.0. (It's an older Gigabyte) Amazing airflow. The 5 140mm fans really push the air. I have yet to reach temps above 50°C. I keep the fans on "boost" via the built in fan controller and it is pretty audible at that but at the same time a very soothing sound. Keeps me grounded when I'm getting my rear kicked at BF4.

Cons: Drive mounts... The tabs that go into the sides of your hard drives was poorly designed. VERY poorly designed. You put the tabs into your harddrive and expect to be able to just slip it in... But no. The tabs on the front will slide right in and lock as they should but then the back wont be aligned properly. Reverse this and the back will slide and lock but then the front wont align properly. I had to FORCE the tabs in by wedging the wall of the bracket out. It is really hard to explain but when you buy this case, you will see what I mean. Each of my drives took a good 10 minutes to install and I have 4... Because of this I had no choice but to knock an egg.

Overall Review: the PWR switch, Rest switch, HDD LED, PWR LED; the positive and negative were flipped so they had to to go in my board upside down. Took me a minute to realize this when my front LEDs weren't working. I feel there should have been 4 external bays instead of the three. Also, it would have been kinda neat to be able to reattach the grates as the look of my opticle drives kinda detract from the look of the case. Over all, as long as I don't have to install any more hard drives in the future, this case is awesome. But again, be ready for some frustration in that area.

UBIQUITI - US UAP-AC-LITE-US UNIFI AP AC LITE
UBIQUITI - US UAP-AC-LITE-US UNIFI AP AC LITE

Pros: - Small and Discrete, doesn't stick out like a sore thumb where mounted. - PoE - Management Software is nice and straightforward.

Cons: - There seems to be an issue with DHCP requests. Often, devices that connect to it are having issues communicating with the DHCP server. Looks the requests are reaching the server but the devices aren't getting the response. This only happens to devices connected to the AP. The only way to resolve is to restart the AP. A friend of mine with the same AP is having the exact same issue.

Overall Review: I would not recommend this device as the DHCP issue makes it nearly useless. The AP needs to be power-cycled every other day for devices to connect.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

Pros: I just had to add to the long list of positive feedback as most everyone else. I installed theses bad boys in my first system in 2010. Those same two stick are now in my current build I just completed this year. Every time I built a new computer, I just take these out of the old and put them in the new. This is my third system, and I am just now having to buy two new sticks, not because these have failed, but because I want 12GB instead of 8. These things are also fast with very low latency.

Cons: The Con is that newegg wastes space with this unnecessary "Cons" box.

Overall Review: As if the fact that these have been going strong for 5 years isn't enough; when ever... If ever, these things were to fail, they have a LIFETIME warranty!!!

Excellent MOBO

GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD5 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: This board is without a doubt an awesome board. So far it has been solid, all ports working. I like the blue LED onboard power and reset buttons though I don't know of much use for them. One valuable onboard button supplied was the Clear CMOS button and they were smart to put a little protector on it to keep you from accidentally pushing it. Now you no longer have to route jumpers, just push teh button. The board has Two PCI Express slots that can run full x16 when running dual video cards. And of course USB 3.0.

Cons: I ran into a problem where I could not use my keyboard on start up to enter bios or change boot drives or anything. I thought I had the keyboard plugged into the right USB slot (The one marked for Keyboard at the top) Even tried the PS2 slot to no avail. Turned out I had to use the lower USB slots. Found this out by trial and error (Restart comp. and plug keyboard into different slot) Until I found one the let me use the keyboard at startup. I wasn't able to find any insight in the manual. One other con is the positions of the SATA ports they are facing to the instead of straight out from the board meaning I had to use some finger magic to connect my hard drives. Most GPU's today take up two bays, if you do run dual GPU's, know that they will be right ontop one another. I'm waiting to do water cooling before doing this.

Overall Review: This board is a definate buy. The features alone def outway any problems you may run into with this board. I have run stress tests on the board with excellent results. Though I didn't give this board 5 eggs, I still recommend it to anyone as you will be hard pressed to find somthing better. Also has anyone else notice that video cards always have to go in upside down. Defeats the purpose of that elegant cover over the heat sink.

ICE cold.

ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro - Compact Multi-Compatible Tower CPU Cooler | 92 mm PWM Fan | for AMD AM4 and Intel 115x CPU | Recommended up to 115 W TDP
ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro - Compact Multi-Compatible Tower CPU Cooler | 92 mm PWM Fan | for AMD AM4 and Intel 115x CPU | Recommended up to 115 W TDP

Pros: This fan is quite possibly the best that i have owned in a long time. At idle, my cpu will be under 40c and at load, i have yet to see it go over 46c. I am a hardcore gamer. I even have the cpu slightly overclocked.

Cons: -This thing is HUGE. your supposed to push the air to the back of your case but my power supply is in the way so i have it pushing the down with the cross breaze hopefully Pushing it to the back. -Installation was a pain in the rear with those push pins, however its only really a one time deal and the performance makes up for it, so no eggs lost.

Overall Review: When the mother winds this thing up under load, you can hear it pick up speed. The fan itself is completely silent, but you can hear the air it is pushing. The heatsing is solid, and the fins feel flimsy but i havnt come across any problems with them getting bent. Also this thing looks cool under blue LED. Just the size makes you feel like you have a beast of a machine.
