This review is from: Antec S10 Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Pros: nice aluminum
Cons: flimsy construction overall. While some of the panels are thick aluminum, this is just poorly designed. The hinges on the side panels is ok, but the locking mechanism is weak/dumb...
The drive trays seemed flimsy as did many other interior parts.. the outer panels are the only well-built aspect of this beast.
Pros: fast, good drivers w/ frequent updates.
Cons: not free
Other Thoughts: So like everybody else I was able to get great framerates in BF3. Tonight I'll pair it with a BenQ XL2420t, which should be great.
In case there are some other old-school folks out there, I did a couple TIMEDEMO's in Quake 1 & Q3. I had most eyecandy turned on, so no blocky mipcap stuff. In Q3 with FOUR.dm_68, I got 828.4 fps.
In Quake 1, the timedemo was similar. Using Timrefresh in the DM3 rocket room I got 5,415 fps :)
Pros: build quality, price. Blows away other "netbooks" in this price range, and with a bit more RAM it performs great!
Cons: touchpad scrolling awkward / unresponsive...
As others have stated, lots of bloatware.
Graphics performance is it's main weak point, but it should be fine for basic web browsing & video playback.
Other Thoughts: purchased this elsewhere, refurb, for cheap.. replaced ram w/ a generic 8GB (2x4GB DDR3-1333 204-pin SODIMM) kit for just $35.READ FULL REVIEW
