This review is from: TOSHIBA MQ01ABF050 500GB SATA 6.0Gb/s 5400RPM 2.5" Hard Drive
Pros: These are a perfectly good affordable 500Gb HDD. If you are looking for an inexpensive drive to replace a bad drive or a smaller drive these work great.
Cons: I had 0 problems with 2 of these. The third I got windows 7 installed and it got loud on me. Sounded like maybe the heads were touching the platters in it. I RMA'd the drive with Newegg and they sent me a new one no questions asked. 0 Problems with the RMA drive!
Other Thoughts: Dinged 1 Egg for the 1 of 3 drives being bad. It isn't a huge deal you can't expect every product to come out perfect.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: These are fast, affordable, and so far very dependable. At this point I have bought 2 of these and placed them in older Dell Latitude E6420 PC's. Naturally in a older PC like this they will not get the advertised speed. I averaged somewhere around 300Mb/s read write speeds on Crystal Disk. That is a more than fair speed on a second generation i5 processor and 8Gb of DDR3 1333Mhz RAM. They clocked out faster than my Samsung EVO 840, 128Gb SSD I tested as a comparison, and are dang near half the price.
Cons: None as of yet. I have not tested them in Raids or anything complicated. Just a standard OS SSD with Windows 7 64bit Professional.
Other Thoughts: 59.99 for a good 120Gb SSD from a reasonably reputable brand name? I know they are not Samsung of SanDisk... But really you cannot beat the price for the quality of product.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The stuff really does work, if you don't like scrubbing thermal grease over and over with a alcohol swab...
Remover has a pleasant citrus like smell!
Cons: None at this point.
Other Thoughts: Wear some latex gloves it will dry your skin out quick!READ FULL REVIEW
