This review is from: SUPERMICRO MBD-X9DR3-F-O SSI EEB Server Motherboard Dual LGA 2011 DDR3 1600
Pros: Decent layout. It does work, for the most part.
Cons: USB keyboards and mice turn on and off incessantly, weird socket size. 8 pin and 24 pin location really sucks in reverse ATX with a top mount PSU.
Other Thoughts: I wasn't aware of this, but the mounting holes for the HSFs on this board are rectangular, while the "normal" X79-style sockets are closer to square. I'm currently using one 2650 (need a new HSF for the other one...) and the board does work fairly well. No problems except for the fact that the keyboard and mouse flick on and off constantly. This is about the most irritating thing I have ever experienced. I'm not sure yet if it's a Windows issue (server 2008 r2) or if it's a board problem, but regardless I have never seen this before in all my years. Other USB devices work fine, but not the keyboard or the mouse.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: PNY Optima 16GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model P-SDH16G4-EF/S2
Pros: It does work and it is well priced.
Cons: It does not work with the GoPro HD camera, and upon talking to GoPro support I was told that I'm not the only one having issues with PNY cards. They recommended a Kingston card so that's what I bought.
Other Thoughts: I'm sure it's great if you have a compatible device.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Scythe SY124010L 40mm Chipset Fan
Pros: Moves enough air, no noise
Cons: No mounting screws
Other Thoughts: I used this as a replacement for the horrible MCH fan that comes with the 945GCLF2 Atom boards. It's exactly the same size as the stock fan, but the screws that hold the stock one in are too small for the Kaze. That's okay, because the screws can still keep the fan from sliding around. It makes essentially no noise and cools just as well as the high-pitched leaf blower that the board comes with.READ FULL REVIEW
