This review is from: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120 mm PWM Fan
Pros: Works great.
This, combined with arctic silver 5 thermal paste, dropped my temps by over 30C under load.
Cons: Installation took awhile.
The size made it hard to reattach the motherboard.
It takes a little effort to unhook the fan for the installation. (And it's easy to cut yourself taking it off.)
Other Thoughts: It only dropped my idle temps by a few degrees. Not really a pro or a con.
I have this paired with an AMD a10-5800K trinity APU. It would overheat under load with the stock heatsink. The hottest it's gotten with this is 46C.
Be careful with it. Cuts from heatsink fins are not fun.
Pros: It's fast. Runs most games on medium/high. (With the exception of metro 2033, Which I have to run on lowest settings, But it runs lag free) Runs minecraft with an average of 80FPS at 1080p with a 64x64 texture pack.
Cons: As others have said, The stock heatsink is pretty wimpy. If you plan on overclocking, Get a better one.
Other Thoughts: My system.
