XIGMATEK Dark Knight II SD1283 Night Hawk Edition CPU Cooler with Stealth Aerospace Industry Thermal conductive ceramic coating LGA1150 Haswell Compatible
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: large dc heat pipes work better than cm 212
black coating matches my black/white color scheme
great cooling on fx 8320 4.5GHz @ 1.3825v

Cons: stock fan is LOUD
Im convinced the ceramic coating is a gimmick but i like the aesthetics
weird mounting system
fins are easily bent

Other Thoughts: get it, i own the cm 212 evo and this is so much better

Cooler Master Hyper N520 - CPU Cooler with Copper Base and 5 Heatpipes
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Small, included shroud, dual fans

Cons: Where to start. First off, the included fans suck. They are loud and resonate, IMO. I switched them out with low profile 92mm noctuas and the noise went away. The other issue is cooling. If you are using a 75W processor or less, by all means this will be adequate. For any AMD FX users, please steer clear and just do yourself a favor and pick up the 212+ or evo for the same money. You will be about 5-8C cooler and not have those horrid fans to deal with.

COOLER MASTER R4-S2S-124K-GP 120mm Silent Case Fan
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Cheap, quiet. If you need a pack of reliable fans that do NOT need to move significant quantities of air, pick these bad boys up.

Cons: they dont move a lot of air, even at high speeds. Like any

Other Thoughts: Just spend the money and get better fans. I'm not saying Noctua or other $30/fan brands. Cougar, Enermax, Fractal, and BitFenix have all given me better performance than these.
