Pros: Built in Wifi adapter - I didn't even know this was a feature until I was trying to troubleshoot my home network and found this PC on my wifi network instead. I lol'd.
Holds up quite well for gaming. I was surprised.
Comes with everything but a monitor, including Windows 8
Cons: At this price, none that are practical to complain about
Other Thoughts: I bought this for my wife for Christmas. I also got the 2 kids each CyberpowerPC desktops that cost $50 - $100 more than this one did and pretty much have twice the specs of this one on paper.
Well, one night we were all playing StarCraft together and we came to a point where there was a LOT going on on the screen. My computer (custom built mid to high end gaming computer) slowed down a little. The kids' CyberPowerPC desktops almost completely froze up on them, but my wife's iBuyPower PC that has half of the RAM and half the memory on the video card as the kids' computers lagged quite a bit but never quit and she was still able to play.
I highly recommend this machine to any gamer on a budget. Some care was taken by iBuyPower to take budget components and match up the right ones to optimize them for a quality gaming machine.
Pros: Sleek Modern Design
Dual HDMI Inputs
Quality Picture and colors
Cons: Menu is difficult to navigate if you aren't used to it
- Acer could have made it quicker and easier to change between HDMI Inputs 1 and 2, you currently have to navigate through the monitor menu settings to change it, but not a huge issue.
Other Thoughts: I bought 3 of these monitors to put on the new desktops I got the wife and 2 kids. My son has his Xbox hooked up to the second HDMI input and plays Call of Duty all day then switches over to HDMI 1 to use the computer. A very nice feature!
I was fortunate enough to catch these gems on sale for $140 each and they were worth every penny and then some. I have 2 Dell S2740L monitors on my PC (and I absolutely LOVE them) that I paid $310 each for, and if I were to put these Acers side by side with my Dells the Dell only barely beats the Acers in picture quality - and you would have to study closely to see the difference.
All in all I am VERY pleased with this purchase and have highly recommended this monitor to a few friends and coworkers that were looking to upgrade or build new computers.
