This review is from: Corsair Obsidian Series 550D Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: -Very good build quality
-Good cable management space
-Looks pretty nice in most settings if you don't want a window and neon lights all over.
-Removable magnetic dust covers
-WOULD be quiet with decent 4-pin fans
-Easy to work in, there are pass throughs in all the right places.
-USB 3.0 header
Cons: Ventilation - The fans ports on the side and top were definitely an afterthought! if you really want to use these you must remove the covers on the case leaving the ugly recessed panel exposed.
3-pin fans - So they are on full blast all the time. Since they are on full blast all the time this case is about as quiet as the Antec 900 case I had before that had 3 120mm fans and a 200mm fan with all of those fans running on low. I am sure that case moved more air at least. This case SHOULD come with either a.) some decent 4-pin fans or b.) some sort of built in fan controller.
-Front dust cover is hard to get off... All it needs is a small cut out on one of the corners.
-Bottom dust cover should be removable from the front. It is not as accessible from the rear.
Other Thoughts: A cool solution for adding fans to the top without fully removing the top cover is to just wedge something between the back of the top cover and the case. I put one of the plastic DVI covers from my new gfx card there and the top panel sits about 8-9mm above the case, but it is enough for air to flow out.READ FULL REVIEW
