This review is from: ONKYO TX-NR818 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver – Black
Pros: Sound stage is accurate.
Plenty of connections.
Cooler (temperature) than my Denon.
Well thought out functionality.
Clean high power output.
Cons: (Minor) No on board switchable outlet for another component.
Other Thoughts: Be prepared to learn the unit to get the most out of your system and trump sound quality of less adjustable plug and play receivers. There is a learning cure but at this price you must be serious about quality anyways. My system is rich, full, clean, and easy to navigate.( once set to my taste)
I will say if you do not want to put the time into learning and adjusting your system, find a different unit because there is a bell for every whistle and one could give up and become disgruntled. Definitely worth the effort. New sounds coming from old familiar Music.
This review is from: Definitive Technology Mythos Two On-Wall or Table top Speaker Single
Pros: I was waiting for a good deal on Audiophile speakers and there they were. If you on the post about any new speaker system realize that you will not find a better set any where for years until a High end company revamps the speaker line and you find them on closeout per chance. You will kick your self hard if you let these slip away.
Cons: Speaker emblems are not easily reversible for custom installations but doable.
Other Thoughts: I missed out on the Boston Acoustic vs240 and I am glad I did!!! Also I tried out the supercub 4000 at a box store and it stood its ground against larger more costly subs, it sounded tighter (cleaner) response with as much punch. Tried REL, Martin Logan, and several others. I was impressed it Energized a 20x25 room. Go def tech...READ FULL REVIEW
