Great Economy Workstation Card
Pros: This card is easy to install. It is heavy, because of the copper heatsink. it seems like a high quality card. It doesn't take any extra power so it would work if you want to upgrade the card in your Dell that has ONLY enough power connections for what is already installed and your existing video doesn't need extra power. It seems to run Civil 3D pretty well. Much more stable than gaming cards and lower end video cards.
Cons: non really
Overall Review: it may be more than you might think you should spend on a card for a workstation, but if you do a lot of CAD work, or graphics stuff, it's worth the money. Get the most expensive one you can afford. These lower end ones are pretty good, the higher end ones probably SMOKE these.
Great Concept - seems to have died though
Pros: Connects to the network without too much hassle. streams pictures and videos to apple devices through the app just fine while connected to the home network. Is accessible through the network by way of a shared drive. I like the concept of remote access through the internet.
Cons: Seems to have died. It won't connect to the network anymore. I cannot reset it either. It is not accessible through the app, the network, or the internet. This is a great concept, but it HAS to last longer than a year or two. Also, the remote access through the internet is pretty slow :(
Great Value
Pros: -Great Sound -Ability to Stream music from iTunes through your existing wi-fi network -Charges iPod also -Looks attractive, is fairly small, has long power cord
Cons: Not much: no batteries
Overall Review: It was really easy to set up on my wi-fi network. The process is just wat I would have expected: go into setup mode, access through web browser, enter wi-fi credentials, all done! So far, i have used the air play functionality with my wife's ipod (2nd gen), my ipod (4th gen), my desktop, and from my desktop while being controlled through Apples Remote app.
Reliable Connectivity
Pros: Gigabit Connection. I have it set up in my home as a wireless router only. I only plug a computer into it if I need to configure something in the firmware. It has worked very reliably. I have only had to reset it maybe once since I got it almost two years ago. I like the guest function too. It lets you allow guests to connect to the internet while keeping them separate from your personal network. Also lets you assign a separate password for the guest network.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Great router and the price keeps coming down. D-Link Products have always been reliable for me. I have not used the tech support though. Also, I like the Firmware Emulators they have on their website. They are great to play around with.
Pure Quality
Pros: Modular. Feels Heavy. All the cords were long enough to meet my needs in a top mount case. 7 yr warranty. Great packaging in the retail box.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: After putting two of these in CAD machine builds, I am very pleased. No complaints. Solid reliability. Seriously, a 7 year warranty? This PS should outlast the PC which is the way it should be.
Great Mid Level Case
Pros: I have used two of these cases for CAD machine builds. Both builds went very well and I had no trouble during assembly. This case is well thought through: 1. removable front cover with dust screen 2. removable motherboard tray 3. cable management is pretty good 4. hard drive mounting options 5. 3.5 Inch drive bay...a lot of cases dont have these anymore and you have to buy an expensive adapter for your card reader. 6. Top mounted power button and I/O ports for machines setting on the floor. 7. I used a corsair power supply and had no trouble with the cords reaching anywhere. 8. The included fans are nice...you dont have to spend extra $$$ on additional fans.
Cons: one of the cases had the power button switch pop out of the aluminum mount..probably from pushing the power button too hard. No biggie....it just popped back in.
Overall Review: Great case
