Pros: Came here looking for information regarding the open source firmware Trendnet has posted on their site as of 1/17/14. No info on that, but after seeing the recent negative reviews thought I'd share my 2 cents. Have not had any issues. I guess I gave it 4 stars because I can't locate a good forum for info (such as the above firmware), but technically, the product works just fine.
Cons: The web interface is not as easy to navigate as my previous Trendnet (TEW-633GR) which worked great for about 4 years. Hoping this one lasts that long.
Other Thoughts: If anyone has tried the opensource firmware for this router, I'd be interested to know more about it. Trendnet is offering it up but provides no support and no information on their website.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I needed to upgrade my 4 year old Trendnet TEW-633GR that was intermittently dropping the connection, so picked this up for a reasonable price. Familiar interface and superfast paired with a Motorola SB6141. My homemade NAS connects instantly now, making me think maybe the old router had some other issues. Perhaps the ASUS has a better GUI, (I don't know, but that's what the reviews say), but this GUI is not too bad once you learn how to move around in it.
Cons: None so far. Hopefully this one will be trouble free for 4 years like my previous Trendnet router.
Other Thoughts: Received this 2 days after I ordered it, even though I didn't pay the extra two dollars for 2-day shipping. However, the same day, Newegg DRASTICALLY marked this down (pre-Black Friday sale) so I felt a little ripped. I contacted the 'Egg, and as usual, they made things right. Another reason why I continue to do all my tech shopping at the 'Egg;they take care of customers. And no, I wasn't paid to say that, although if they wanted to, I wouldn't complain.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: My first Sata3 SSD. Guess I was expecting it to be faster...it's good though. No, I haven't benchmarked it. Does come with the tray for a desktop though, which was nice. Mine had two sets of screws, one fine (to attached drive to tray) and coarse (to attach tray to case).
Cons: It's too small for 64 bit Windows and some programs. I only have 10gb left. Not a fault of the drive though, I already knew how big it was.
Other Thoughts: Again, works fine. No errors. Loaded Windows first time. Just not mind bending fast or anything.
Running AHCI into Sata3 ASRock 990FX Extreme4.
