Good machine
Pros: All my kitchen knives are now as sharp as a scalpel, WOW!
Cons: None
Overall Review: This is pretty cool. I have been trying other sharpeners & stones, but this machine seems to be the easiest to master and makes a nice edge. Knives that have been sharpened on a stone may need quite a few passes to get the correct angle back. the 15 degree was perfect for my santoku knives. The 20 degree may not be standard for all kitchen knives, so it could take a while to get the bevel on some knives. Start with a knife that you don't care about to practice on. Sharpening purists may scoff, but trying to maintain a consistent angle on a stone is pretty difficult. The stropping wheel is much easier than a steel too.
It's a beautiful thing
Pros: Setup was so easy.
Cons: The only hitch was Windows exception error when launching the setup sw to program the remote, which was resolved with a reboot. Some of the buttons are a little too flush and not as easy to push, but not such a big deal.
Overall Review: It's a beautiful thing to go from 5 remotes down to one, and all component functions are supported by one remote. I no longer have to watch my wife tossing remotes in frustration, trying got remember the sequence to watch a DVD or TV.
simply awesome
Pros: there isn't a simpler way to share USB devices between 2 PC's. I needed to share a printer between 2 PC's and hosting it on one PC was always a hassle because of printer sharing and firewalls and needing the host PC always on...the inexpensive print servers looked like another nightmare to keep configured..the printer was never ready at all times...with this device the printer is always ready, just take control from the Sys Tray icon. Switching back and forth is flawless. If one PC is on it has control of the printer. Belkin did real good on this one. I could see easily sharing any USB device with ease, like scanners, etc.
Cons: Sometimes the switching application gets closed in the Sys Tray, just need to fire up the app from the Start Menu. They should have named the icon (link to exe) sonething more friendly than F1U201.401 but these are minor issues
