This review is from: ARK WT-02C (UV coating) Black Mini ITX Server Case 1 External 5.25" Drive Bays
Pros: Great for home theater, lots of room for mini-itx, single slot would take a decent length video card. multi card reader built in to the front. Tool-less case, clever release for 5.25" drive.
Cons: Needs a 1U flex power supply , the supply can cost more than the case. certain online @uction site has them for ~$25. A DELL USFF power supply can be stuffed in, you'll need a 24 pin extensionREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: Looks nice and well built, packaged well, plenty of cables, manual seems to have enough info to install and operate the motherboard. Really flies with -5-2500k and 16gb and SSD.
See the "gotchas" below, but I would buy another if I upgrade another PC.
Cons: I had the same problem another owner had, installed Win 8.1 rebooted, nothing, just dead. Pulled memory and swapped around, no help, shorted bios to clear and it booted. The BIOS has a "Windows 8" setting, I changed it back to Windows 7 and it has worked flawlessly since.
CPU, ram, SSD and PS came straight out of a working Z68 motherboard, so they are known good.
The cute little orange heat sink is right in the way of my video card, really had to push down to lock the card in place. Lock on memory card feels unsecure / cheap. If you have a Radeon 6xxx it may touch the heat sink. If your video card won't seat, the MB may appear dead.
Other Thoughts: Bridge heat sink is too tall and can interfere with the video card. Beware BIOS settings can cause no boot - seriously just completely dead - short the bios jumper and try other settings. I would guess there will be BIOS updates coming...READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Gave away an older WRT54GL to get a fancy new faster router. BIG MISTAKE. The Linksys was rock solid and never gave any trouble. Fancy new router survived just out of warranty. Bought a new WRT54GL, flashed to DD-WRT and it works perfectly.
Cons: Not the fastest router. Have to do real work now instead of spending hours / days troubleshooting my network or attempting RMA's.
Other Thoughts: Looks like you have to trade speed for reliability. I'll take the reliability.READ FULL REVIEW
