Pros: The drive arrived (see cons for details.)
Cons: I can't say much about the drive besides it was DOA and I am not allowed to criticize their service or operating partners per their guidelines on reviews.
Other Thoughts: Almost every single failure I've had with a HDD was with Seagate. Ordered from Newegg. You decide.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: DVD writers are a dime a dozen these days.
Considering the competition, such and how they continually put out great burners, Samsung has high standards to sustain.
Samsung not only produced an excellant dvd burner they made it super affordable.
For around 35 bucks you can get a top of the line samsung dvd writer that uses Sata instead of old IDE, and out-performs both.
The drive is very quiet too if you don't burn at the top rated speeds.
It's always better to burn discs t lower than the highest speed as you have less burn errors.
As a reminder for those who have a dvd burner already, but use IDE style burners.
If you need to get rid of your old IDE enabled drives and want great performance, this is the drive to buy.
Free yourself from bulky cables and futureproof yourself with Sata
Cons: OEM doesn't include any documentaion or cables, but you most likely knew that already.
Other Thoughts: I wonder why more drives haven't shipped as SATA drives before recently. They are top performers and they don't use a bulky IDE ribbon cable that blocks airflow, they just use a nice thin cable instead.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: KINGWIN SAC-04 15.74" SATA Data & Power combo cable
Pros: This product does something really simple, but it's a great idea, combing the powerclip and the sata cable into one sleave is nice when you need to hook it to your sata drive.
Cons: Wasn't cheaper, but it's still a decent price.READ FULL REVIEW
