XFX HD 679X ZRFC Radeon HD 6790 1GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: I figured that it was a refurb SO it was either going to work or not. It worked!

Cons: Only got a year and a half out of it. It went "POP!" when it went.

Other Thoughts: I was running BOINC with this card 24/7 for months and it never seemed to fail until recently. I tried to take my Corsair 600W power supply with it when it died.

Cannot really complain, the PSU was alright but it kind of freaked me out when one of the circuits blew on the card.

I usually have instant death with refurbs or I get well past their warranty by a year or more. This one made it more.

  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Plug and play.

Cons: If you want to play BD movies you need to BUY the software!

Other Thoughts: I have Ashapoo Free Burning Rom and I plugged in the BR burner and burned a Data-BD-R in about 15 minutes... (22GB .mkv) and it played back perfectly.
IF you want to play Blu-ray discs from the store YOU WILL NEED TO GET some software from Nero or Cyberlink. There is no software to play BD movies!!!!

Evercool VC-EC8010M12C-B 80x80x10mm Video Card Cooling Fan

1 out of 5 eggs Don't get this for your video card 05/17/2014

This review is from: Evercool VC-EC8010M12C-B 80x80x10mm Video Card Cooling Fan

Pros: It blows air.

Cons: I ordered this fan for an XFX card about a year and a half or so ago... The fan was the correct size but the hole on the mounting bracket were spaced too close together for the video card's mounting holes in the cooling fins. I ended up breaking one of the little plastic "nubs" of the fan's bracket. It worked for a while but it was totally "micky-mouse". Got another one of these and saw that the hole in the bracket don't line up with the holes in the GPU's cooler AGAIN... an MSI GTX460 HAWK... Did not bother to try and mount the fan...

Other Thoughts: Just grabbed two 80mm case fans and zip-tied them to the cooler on the MSI card. Works great. I got a Zalman cooler for the XFX card... THat actually worked pretty good too.
